She ghosted me — what now?

Verdict first

Ghosting is an answer, just a cowardly one. Send one light message at most, then put your energy where it's returned.

Why it happens

She met someone else, lost interest, felt awkward saying no, or just got overwhelmed. You'll rarely find out which — and you don't need to.

One last message, if you want

If you want to close the loop, keep it short and blame-free. No essays, no "was it something I said?"

Hey, haven't heard from you — hope all's good. Door's open if you still want that drink

What not to do

No paragraph of feelings, no asking her friends, no watching her stories for clues. Every bit of chasing hurts you more than her silence did.

If she comes back

Ghosts sometimes reappear weeks later with "hey stranger". Be friendly, but let her prove she's back: invite her out once. If she dodges again, you have your answer twice.

Verdict

Silence is a reply. Read it and move on.
